Hi I have a 1994 Civic LX (D15B7 motor). I changed the spark plugs yesterday since I was cleaning out the IACV because of random up and down idling and sometimes would sit at 100 rpms right above zero. I had an oil change around two weeks ago at a Valvoline and oil was all good when I checked. When I was doing the spark plugs the wells were a little oily and all four a pulled out had a ring of oil around the middle end of the plug. I checked the oil on the dip stick a couple times with different circumstances like parking after highway and all of the results had no oil at all on the stick completely dry. So I through 2 quarts in and the dipstick shows. But now I've been noticing odd things like the oil cap was stuck and it was a pain to take off and after putting oil in I ran around for a bit and when I pulled the dipstick it started smoking out of it.
Im gonna change the valve cover gaskets today as it looks like **** anyway but I guess I'm a little paranoid
I have a habit of checking under the car almost everytime I stop as I've worked on cars with coolant and power steering leaks over the years. I've never seen puddles or even drops under this car. No smoke out of exhaust other than morning cold start but goes away after driving off after a second. Definitely never smells like burning oil. Im really hoping it's just the valve cover but losing all that oil in 2 weeks seems insane.
