I was going to work one early morning, it was cold as minus -6celcius.

In a hurry I started up the car, and began to wipe of all the ice from the windows.
This took like 3 minuits.

Then I took of..
About 5 minutes on the road I noticed how my RPM-Gadget and Speed-Gadget didnt synk at all.
Tried after this discovery to turn on the MP3-stereo, but the display just flashed a couple of times
but didnt never turn on.

I got confused and I thought it all will dissapear if I just turn off the car then turn it on again.

So I drove the car to the side of the road, turned the car off..

When I was going to turn the key to start the car, nothing happend at all..

Like the car was in A coma.. (but a weak light in the display panel did glow)


Me and my friend looked over the fuses.. Changed the batteryfuse wich was at 80A.

But now nothing glows or moves an inch..

What could be this weird problem, and any ways to SOLVE it??


This problem regards a: Civic 1500, 1992

 

Have you tested your battery. If not most auto parts stores will test it for free if you bring it in. The test does take a while so don't plan on just waiting for the results.

1) Definitely have the battery charged or replaced. Then, use steel wool to clean the battery posts and terminals, as well as the battery ground wire attached to the engine bay.

2) Is fuse 24 under the dash blown? Also have the alternator checked after the battery problem is resolved.
