Default VTEC Gasket Replacement...

Anyone know the process to replace the VTEC Gasket? I guess I have oil Leakin from there(?)Thanks in Advance.

Remove the 3 bolts holding the solenoid to the head (keep a rag handy for a little bit of oil to spill out). Remove old gasket. Replace with new.

http://inlinefour.com/bservtecsolg.html (it says for B-series but don't worry, it's the same.)

my bad, its a 1990 Civic Hatch (DX I believe) with a D15b.

not important, my instructions are universal for all VTEC solenoids

dope man, thanks...easy as that?

Honda dealership wanted to charge like $150 do it.

yea
that dealer price is insane... you sure it's just leaking or did they say they would be replacing the entire solenoid?

No, they said its just the Gasket that needs to be replaced.

$150... Damn, what a rip off.

Should take you no more than 10 minutes, from opening the hood to closing the hood.
