RE: waterpump question

Usually they leak when they get bad. Sometimes they'll squeel. And your motor will not be sufficiently cooled

damnnn guess thats not it, heres the thing forty, i dont know if i told u this but i was drving to six flags with a few people in my ride on a hot ass day, we were in traffic for about an hour and a half give or take, then i hit a open highway, i went to about 75 and then my car starts to overheat, not to the point where its the H but maybe half an inch or less from it, then i slowed down a bit to 60, the needle came back to the center of the C and H, then when i increase my speed back to 75 the needle rises again, what can this be?? im not leaking coolant, my fans r workingand i have enough coolant in the resovoir, please help me out

RE: waterpump question

gotta be a bad temp sensor. I think Autozone, Napa etc carry them and they're like 15 bucks. I'd give that a shot.

RE: waterpump question

^Def try that first. Rule of thumb when fixing your car......start with the cheapest stuff. I would prob do what tony said AND flush out my coolant system and fill er up with fresh coolant. If that doesnt work, then were probably looking @ a leaky or blown headgasket, and or crack in the block.
