Default Weird noise comming from engine bay! please help!

Hi, my car runs pretty well if not a little sporadic but my biggest concern is that i have a weird rubbing/scratching sound coming from what sounds like the timing belt area. it is only when i am on the acceleration but is consistent through the amount of throttle. does anyone have any idea what it could be?

Sounds like a take apart job. I'm sure you have already poked around so I will try not to insult you. Maybe the timing belt is sliding off? Have you taken off the cover? It 's hard for me to imagine scratching and rubbing.. Scratching in that area I would think.. a pulley is off.. rubbing.. the belt against the cover or something in your wheel well area.. O.o Not sure..

Take off the external belts (alternator, P/S, and A/C), then run the engine to see if the noise is still there. It could be one of the external accessory parts.
