WEIRD THROTTLE PROBLEM

when i turnmy car on, the rpm's jump all the way up to 6,000 rmp n it stays there..the engine revs high and it seems like the throttle is somehow stuck..im not sure what the problem is but i need help with this! thnx

Check the throttle cable at the intake.
