Default Weird ticking?

Ok so after i got out of my car today i heard a weird ticking coming from the exhaust. towards the middle of te car. i have no clue what it is so if anybody could help me out please do.

And i have been smelling gas around my engine bay and its slowly getting worse. someone said my fuel injectors are bad so would that cause it?

is it after you shut the car off? could be your cast iron manifold cooling down, they usualy make a ticking noise for a while, almost like a ping every few seconds

ya, what he said, also, if it was injectors causing the odor, there would be fuel present around the injector, or you wouldnt smell it. when do you notice the fuel odor?

i smell the fuel when starting up my car or when i have my heater on, this is through the vents when the heaters on. its usually heavy smelling then will go away after a while of driving.

I think that the fuel vapor smell could be an EVAP canister or something with the EVAP system. The EVAP system pretty much takes the fumes that develop in the gas tank when the car is off and store them till you turn on the engine. Once the engine is on, the canister will purge into the engine. If there is something wrong with the EVAP sytem, it could be purging into the atmosphere instead of the engien which would cause the smell of fuel that you are smelling.

The "ticking" is almost definitely the exhaust cooling (mine does it a lot). Do you have any aftermarket exhaust?

You my just be being paranoid about the fuel smell. Have you checked everywhere under the hood for leaks or noticed any puddles? Have you had any sputtering?

i had this exsact same thing happen the other night to me with the fuel i was smelling gas coming inside the car when i would stop and then it would go away when i started to move again. The lines coming off my fmu were leaking gas out. Check around the fuel rail and fuel pressure regulator at the end of it for anything wet and if you find anything smell it to see if its gas
