wheel hub bearing

ok so for a couple of weeks not my car has been making this humming sound. turns out the sound is a bad wheel bearing. i took my car to get fixed today and he takes the hub off and tells me the hub isalso no good. i guess the bearing is so bad that it damaged the hub? can that happen? also where do i find a hub for a 98 civic ex? i tried autozone, no luck. also how much would i expect to pay for the hub? thanks

Which wheel has the problem? Front and rear wheels are entirely different.
