hey guys, i think i finally figured out what my car's problem is. the dealer i bought it from got it in as a trade, and he said that the guys who had it before swapped out the engine. but get this; i checked the code on the block and it says d16y7. if i'm not mistaken, that is the code for a 96-00 non vtec model. but my car is a 95 ex model, and i think all they swapped was the motor, not the tranny or ecu. would this be the cause of the surging and occasional hesitation to shift? what can i do to fix it if so? thanx in advance. later!!
