window wont roll
 
hello, my driver side window does not roll up or down. i was told it needs a new window track....so if anyone has some info on what i need, or conformation on this diagnosis, its appreciated.

What year and all is your car? We need that to help you.

Year, trim, sedan or coupe, that kind of stuff.

Have you taken the door panel off? Is everything where it should be? Take off the passengers side panel and use it as a reference. Let us know.

If you can take a pic of the messed up one and post it here so we can see what is going on.

i will do tonight. thanks.

i personally have not taken it off. i just bought the car from my friend to help him out in his debt, time of need. i am picking it up tonight. i will take off both panels and use as reference and take a pic. i will also be dynamatting them tonigh..which brings me to a next point. maybe my buddy is a bozo, it might be something simple i just havent looked yet...

it could be many things, window track ur window motor, possible anything, take a pic of inside the door panel and post, maybe someone can help u then

wiill do. do the manual roll down windows have motors? or is it just a direct crank on a track?..

it sounds like it's just off track, i would take it to an auto store and an epoxy (sp?), and glue it back on. if that doesn't work you will need to take it to a glass shop and have them fix it. you could also take it to the body shop.

could you elaborate more on what could be done? i am pretty mechanically inclined and might be able to fix it myself. hopefully

also, like i said. i was told its off the track. but im not to sure what that means or how to fix it...
