wiper motor

i just replaced my wiper motor on my civic now my wiper arms are all screwed up the delay will go half way up the winshield and stop and when i turn them off they stop in the middle of the winshield. what is the problem?

If they stop in an arbitrary place when you turn the switch off, either the parking switch in the motor is bad or there is a problem with the column switch or the delay module.

the old motor i replaced worked fin it jus had a problem with the delay setting. now after i put the new one in nuthing is working right. could it be the new motor itself?

Yes it could be. Get a diagram for your model and find which wires go to the switch section of the motor. With the wipers stopped halfway up, unplug the motor and use an ohmmeter to test if the switch is closed. It should be closed with the wipers partway up and open with them at the bottom where they should always stop.
