Default Starting Trouble

Hello occasionally my 98 Honda Accord wont start. I hear the clicking noise but it wont start so im pretty sure its not the starter. 15 minutes later it will start. I also recently had my battery changed so its not that. I had my alternator tested and they said its fine. Does anyone know what else it could be ?? Im supposed to be leaving tomorrow for a 20 hour drive to Arkansas.Would like to fix this before i leave.

Thanks,

Nick

If you are saying that occasionally the engine will not crank when you turn the ignition key to start, then the starter may be going bad or the electrical connections to the starter may be loose or making poor contact due to corrosion.

is it a fast clicking sound? I think it's the starter on it's way out. Or could be a bad ignition switch...

how long has it been since you did a tune up? distributor cap and rotor, plug wires, thats what I would try first. Or just try cleaning the rotor and cap where the points touch first. If there is white corosive build up on them.

it's an accord, not a civic

anyway, i had this problem with my old civic and it turned out to be my battery cables not being tight enough on the battery posts. I couldn't tighten them anymore so I bought these lead things from the auto parts store that go over the posts in order to make the posts bigger.
