wont start..need help
It kind of happened over the course of the day..like i realized it was taking more to get it to start and by the end of the day my civic wouldent start anymore...so first i thought it must be the fuel pump or the ditributor...so i bought a whole new distributor assembly and cap and new spark wires and that didnt do anything...also i checked the pump and it is fine..the service engine light comes on for 2 seconds when the key is on..and then flashes as the car cranks...please does anyone have any suggestions to fix this
If it didnt have any spark y did u change the fuel pump? anywayz, did you check the ign. fuse or relay? what about the main relay thats behind the glove compartment, did u check that out ? When u take out the glove compartment look to ur right there's a relay there bolted on with 10mm or 12mm. Check all ur fuse's and main relays
If you don't have a spark, it could be the plugs, wires, rotor, coil, ICM, or the cam pos sensor. From how you described it, i would either look at the coil or the ICM. If you have an osicilliscope, you could hook it up and check out the coil oscilations. Maybe you want to take it to a shop and have them diagnose it, that'll run you like $50 and you can change whatever part is broken. But your car doesn't start so that might be a prob.
i did ever replaced the feul pump..i just checked it to make sure it was all good...i replaced the main relay underneath of the drivers side compartment behind the fuse box and the ECU on the passenger side, all the fuses are fine..the coil, ICM, wire and rotor are new...i have honestly replaced every single part around it and i havent gotten anywhere
