Default wtf?

so i de-greased my engine bay, first i covered my intake, then i covered my distrib cap, covered my fuse box and covered the spot on my valve cover where my spark plugs go into, degreased it and washed it down, let it run then i went to back out of my drive way and it sounded like a lil 50cc dirtbike bogging out. i thot maybe i could just drive it out so i took it around the block and broke down in the middle of the main road, i was able to spudder it off to the side of the road and get it back up to my house. the check engine lights on and its throwin a cylender 2 missfire or something. so now im ****ed... imma let it run for an hour or so and then let it sit overnight and see how it goes.

nope, covered it, i even took em out to check and they were completely dry. my neighbor said i prolly have water in my cap or i fryed a sensor. idk, its outside running now. when ever i give it a lil gas, itll rev up but if i give it a normal press on the pettle it will sputter then stall

pull the distributor cap off and let it sit overnight open...
you just got alittle water in there....

i got some water in mine when i was driving the car with no hood on it in the rain... it wasnt much but it was enough to make it spit and spudder and die afew times and just limp around very slowly. i kept the cap off overnight and put it back on and it was puring smooth again!

it could have gotten in around the wires area. it only takes afew drops for it to start shorting out and make it run like crap!

Don't keep driving with a misfire, you're prone to burn up the cat converter.

If a cap bolt has broken off in the distributor shell I think the easiest way to remove it is take the dizzy off the car and drill it out from the bottom side (the end of the bolt that's away from the cap). When you have access to the back of the bolt like that, and you're lucky, the drill bit will grab it and spin it out.
