i have a 91 hatch and i did the usdm zc swap but i took the automatic motor and put it in and made it the 5speed.......everything bolts up great but when i go to start it the starter just goes out and spins that its......it don't even catch the flywheel...what did i do wrong here?.....here is what i think i think the starter is bad or the starter is the wrong one on there....but the starter comes out and it don't even catch the flywheel........i'm stump here....i have ripped out the transmission 3 times now.......i don't know what else to do.....

 

find yourself an auto starter. sounds weird but thats what you need with the usdm dohc d-series. the manual starter doesnt throw out far enough.

 

did u swap the automatic flywheel for a standard one? there's a difference.
