theres activity within the past couple of weeks and thats active enough. older civics have had pretty much everything imaginable done to them already. not really alot to have regular daily posts but every week or couple of weeks something has been posted so atleast it shows people still exist here lol.

ah well anyway currently im still getting parts around for my end goal. technically my build falls outside of project posting rules so ill just toss some car info in here. a while ago i was looking for a solid civic to play with after a bunch of fails and misses i almost gave up when my ex showed up less than a mile from my house. 1300 bucks with 134k on the clock. ive since put in a double din touch screen with infinity in the doors and kicker in the deck. i grabbed an ebay intake noise maker and went from there. i have skunk2 alpha headers a custom 2.5 magnaflow cat mid pipe i made myself and a tanabe cat back exhaust. i did an accel tune up kit with thier "better" coil i know it does do much but i get a smoother idle. i bought the complete powerstop kit for an si with the scarebird rear adapter for drum to disc. ive done the fronts but i haven't gotten around to doing the rear. just yesterday i also mounted an original si wing that i had professionally repainted to match the car.

Cool. Not trying to be a dick, but you only have one header Disregard the project section rules... I think it's dead enough that you can just go ahead and start a project thread.

ha atleast that shows you actually read the post to catch that s i typoed in there for headers. i usually mess with v8s so used to saying headers. this civic will be the first non v8 besides my g6 i actually tinker with. i had an 08 r18 civic but i hated that car i just stuck an ebay intake and fart can to be obnoxious.

the R-series never quite took off like the D/B/H/K did... too much of an econo design and costs more

the r18 is a solid engine and has potential if you got one of the good blocks not one of the bad casting ones that liked to crack. outside of that that civic wasn't my choice i would have atleast bought a manual ex. me and the wife both bought newer cars that year i bought an 07 g6 gt that already had a magnaflow exhaust and k&n intake and tinted windows. my wife picked out an 08 lx automatic..... i mean it suited our 4 door needs and never REALLY let us down. transmission issues a/c issues radio was base so it sucked blah blah. she started driving my g6 when she realized how great the remote start was and the transmission was acting up in the civic. we got rid of it at 180k after i fixed the trans issue no idea what happened to it. the Pontiac my neighbors nephew bought it from.me at 189k and he still has it at 210k with still no issues.

I never owned any civic past 2000, they were just dead to me after the end of the D-series era. Now that I'm more into aviation I don't even know what engine is in my car... don't care at all.
