Hey how do you turn off the engine light on a 2000 CIVIC?

 

The o2 sensors have likely gone bad. It could be a mishap though. Disconnect the positive battery wire for 30 minutes, then turn it back on. 99-00 civics are also famous for have a the header cracking down the middle which could also be the cause of the light going on since there is a leak (if thats the case)
