I've always liked Hondas. This cx is the best car I've ever had. I bought it at a car lot and paid too much for it though. Then I had to replace the engine. It runs great now. I only paid $500 for a used engine. It's red with 14" alloys. I don't have an owner's manual for it. There isn't a tachometer either, so I just listen to the engineand watch the speedometer while shifting. Could somebody tell me what the suggested shifting parameters are for this car? It is all stock as far as I can tell, the engine a D16Y7. I have had it up to20 in 1st,40 in 2nd, 60 in 3rd, 90 in 4th,and 100 in 5th. Thespeedometer goes up to 130. I figure there must be a governor in the ecu that kicks in at 100. I have thought about having it reprogrammed, but I'm more concerned about getting better gas mileage than speed.Anyone got advice for me?
