Default not exactly an expert!

hey kids! Ok so i have a 99 civc ex and its slow as hell! I gots me a cold air intake header and a crapy exhaust. My fastest is a 16.2 and I feel I should be expecting more. Once I get into second gear its so damn slow! Is that normal whats the deal???

Welcome I'm not really sure but if its an Automatic then that could be why.

Yea an auto falls on its face in 2nd gear

If it's not an auto, you need to keep the rpms up, if it is....

nope its a manual. and im sorry i ment 3rd! I never shift till im about to hit rev limmiter and i never let off the gas. I pull on people till i hit 3rd and thats when I get passed. It pisses me off!!!!

I would say let of the gas a little, if not all the way.

Thats where the 4-banger kicks in.[sm=smiley2.gif]...

Thats the down side to our cars, they are quick off the line, but in the higher speeds it somewhat drops off.
