bought my daughter 95 civic ex
Hello, I Just bought my 15 year old daughter a 95 Civic EX she will be 16 soon enough. I drive an Acura Legend myself My money pit.
History: It was my buddies wifes car. I did the TB and Water pump on it a while back (when he owned it). front brakes a little while after that. I was going to pay 2000$ for it but she over heated it and we all thought it had a BHG so we all decided on 800$, well I put a new radiator in it and it does not seem to have a BHG.
Needs: CV joints, A/C clutch, and back brakes (childs play to me).
However, I don't think the motor is running right. It runs good don't miss a lick but it has vibration issues or so I think. I was told the 95 civic 1.6 v-tech does not have a balance shaft. the motor mounts seem to be ok. So i have to assume maybe i screwed up in the TBelt or timing (which i never set the timing) I know this for fact the valves have NEVER been adjusted. 127k on the car.

Hey well glad to hear the Head Gasket isnt blown. Thats a pain in the ***...luckily u dont have to remove the head. Definetly check the timing, that vibration could also be due to those CV joints too.....i blew the CV's out in my Nissan, and the thing rode like poop.
Welcome to the forum, and for the record its VTEC not V-TECH VTEC. Do a search for VTEC and u will learn exactly what it is and why its good to have.
