you have to read between the lines. he asked the question as if you can drop it in and it will be simple. he doesnt sound as if hes looking for am 8-10 month project, just a faster DD.

its not the possibility of it, its the why of it. why chopup a brand new civic to put in a heavy *** 310hp v8 that will need every little part in the drivetrain replaced, remade, reshaped, the whole floor of the car front to back would need to be cut out and rewelded to accept a V8 transmission and driveline, and the whole rear would need cut out to accept a rear axle. then you would have a pretty quick drag car. or, you could trade the coupe in on an Si with a K20, drop a turbo and a few other mods, and have a well-balanced 350hp car that is faster than the bastard rwd v8 one, and still handles like it should.
so, if the guy wants to cut up a brand new car that i would kill for, he has every right to...were just making him think to himslef "why would i want to do that to this car?" and "it is possible, but i dont have the money or the time for it"

i found a civic hatchback with a 350 rear wheel drive for sale on some website... i'll try to find it, the guy used it for a daily driver. i've seen a cavalier with a 572 in it, it was in my truckin magazine. I'd rather have a high output 4 cyclinder that can kill a v8. i know everyone one this website would love to see a little honda pull up beside some big american built v8 and blow it away...... atleast I do. nothing against american built cars cause I own a chevy too.
