Question Civic 2000 DX Question

I wasn't able to post this question in the other form. I have a manual roll up window that gets stuck when I try and roll it up. How do I fix this problem when I take apart the door?

sounds like it might be off track, take the panel off and see if its off track, if it is than put it back in its track

ok i will provide you with steps on removed the panel, depending on if you have manual or electric windows, but since im assuming its a DX its manual so,

Step one remove door opening handle by removing the screw that holds it and slid it right or left , i can't remember which way.

step two, remove the handle you use to close door with by using a flat head screw driver and pop it of, there will be screws under it you need to take off.

step three, remove speaker grille with flat hear screwdriver, and take screws off from there.

once you got all screws off you should be able to just pop the panel off.

Talking Broken gears??

I had the same problem with my 2000 civic dx. Left the driver side window open one night in 29 palms,CA. Sand storm came, and i ended up with a butt load of sand in my car and inside the panel. The gear box that the window crank it attached to is made of plastic. The sand grinding on plastic cause the cable to pop out of place. The cable got tangled, took the whole thing apart, found out its sping loaded, which was a pain to put back together.
It worked for a few months, cable ate up the plastic even more. it would be easier if you just bought a new one and installed it yourself. a few nuts and bolts holds the whole thing on.
Good Luck,
Ben Kenobi
