hey my name is jake! just a little back ground about me: i used to drive a 91 ford escort, and thats where my "modding" passion started. after driving the racescort for a year, i developed a pure hatred for honda's, thats what you're taught as an escort fanboy. but after looking into the mod reality of honda's i fell in love with em. so i was driving my racescort to meet my girlfriend and BOOM the car died and i smelled oil...got out and looked, and saw a nasty crack in the block. so the 2 year reign on the racescort was over. so my hunt for a honda started. i wanted a bone stock honda, hard to find in my area. well i got a call from this kid that had an ef hatch with 114k for 1200bucks. now just a little more back ground...im a hatchback guy <3 i love em and i dont know why. so back to my story. i went and looked at it, drove it, and fell in love with it. it has the d15b1 with the 4speed manny...slow as crap, but im used to slow cars(i drove an escort for 2 years :P) anyways its rough around the edges but im gonna fix her up and make her clean, and so forth.

i also got to add the people here look alot nicer then the ones over on honda tech....lol!

Welcome to the forum. HT is a great place for how tos and information, in addition to the marketplace. Otherwise, it is just too big for me to be a part of. Over here, it is slower paced with less active members, so we all really get to know each other.

Make sure to create a project thread! Finding a stock Honda anywhere is a difficult task, so nice job on that.

What is your budget for this car? Do you have a power goal in mind? To be honest, I dont know much about EFs (or anything pre-92 for that matter), so make sure to ask questions (after searching through here and google first) so we can both learn! haha

It is only natural to hate the exact opposite of what you own. I have only owned Civics throughout my 10 or so years of driving. I hate Fords (No offense reaper!). So there.
