finally a car I can fix!
hey all,
I've owned a couple civics in the past, a 95 and a 98 hatchback. I'm still mad at myself for selling the 98. Now I might be about to jump back into it with a 97 sedan. A couple from church were told by a mechanic not to bother fixing their civic because of a rusted out brake line since the part was expensive and they'd have to pull the engine?? I'm looking at it tomorrow, wish me luck! edit: I have a Saturn Ion sitting in the driveway with a blown $5000 transmission and a Jetta sitting in the driveway ..well.. being a Volkswagen and trying to drive me insane... hence the 'finally a car I can fix' :D |
lovin it.. she meant 115k and hatchback. My heart skipped a beat when I pulled in. It needs a lot of work but I think I can make this relationship work.

Welcome to the forum. Yeah, those brake lines are tough to change out.

its a bit of a step up for me... I've rebuilt calipers and drums and replaced a master cylinder once but never done lines. Still.. I'd rather have a dirty problem like this than some sensor or electrical issue that takes a lot of frustrating troubleshooting.
