First Civic, first build, first DIY

Hey everyone!!

I'm from Perth Australia and me and a few mates bought a honda civic EG with a d13b2 (carby) engine for cheaps, a few weeks ago as our first project car.

At first the car didnt start but after cleaning the carby, and putting in new oil in (previous owner put wayy too much in :/) we managed to get the car to start.

After this though we saw that the car didnt want to idle at all. I would have to keep giving petrol otherwise the car would just stall.

We took off the fuel lines going into the fuel filter and then into the carby and no fuel is getting from the fuel tank into the first fuel filter.

This raises the question on how the car can even start? Maybe the engine is just flooded? Next thing we'll do is probably clean the fuel lines and check the fuel pump (which im still not entirely sure where it is since its a carb engine and doesnt have it in the fuel tank).

Rest of the car is in reasonable condition and we plan on making it a good looking car thats really fuel efficient then moving on to something more serious and with more power!! :D
