First civic project

Whats up everyone, good to read that you all know a thing or two! Just bought a 92 4 door dx. Couldnt have asked for a better deal! 1 owner a little old lady only 72K miles on it! and I only paid $700 I ALMOST felt like I was taking advantage but theres alot decent amont of body work. With out going into to much detail Im planning a swap to a b16 and ys1 cable trans, and later down the line a turbo. the body will be mostly stock looking except the paint. The interior is what will really set this car apart but Im keepin silent about that for now, But I will defenetly post pics by the summer of where Im at! Thanks

dont bother with the 1st gen b16. its not worth the trouble to get it to work in your car. pay the extra and get the 2nd gen. trust me. the kit to get the clutch to work is like 350, and the wiring harness isnt cheap either. a b16a2 will be a pretty straightforward swap except maybe the auto-manual thing, but that is supposedly not too hard. good luck though, and that is a smokin good deal!

Just another suggestion. I've dealt with a LOT of B-series swaps, and I don't know if you're planning to do your own work, but you would be better off overall with a Blacktop gray-plug ZC motor, since it's a direct bolt-in and you only lose 20 hp (ATTENTION: I'm not talking about the standard Blacktops that bolt into 4G civics; The gray plug versions have 140 hp and go right into 5G civics). However, with the money you'll save, you could easily bump yourself to 200 at the wheels. Just a suggestion. And I'm right there with you on the cheaply-acquired Civic front: '90 HB, mint body, cracked windshield: $500 (It ain't stock no more!!!). Well, happy hunting.
