i'm buying a civic for a project car for 2500 ..kinda expensive but he's letting me make payments. only some questions...its either a 94 or 95...i know it has to be an ex b/c it has a sunroof,tach,power everything, ..like..8 speakers in it...but i cant tell what engine it has! the guy says it has the vtec engine..but i didnt see the vtec word on the engine...how can i tell?

its a standard too. already has cai and exhaust on it

if it is a 92-95 ex or si it has a sohc d16z6 and yes it is vtec

to see if it is a vtec, look to the left of the exhaust manifold on the block. there will be like a 1' x 1' square that should have d16z6 and a seriel number stamped in it. you might need to clean it off a little to read it.

i just have to save up 500 for a down payment, i hav elike...360 or so right now, and i dont get my paychecks cuz they go to my current car payment, so i just save my tips from delivery. the guy said i could take it and fix it myself or let him fix it, it needs a new clutch. i dont know how to get one or install one ...so i'm gonna let him fix it, so after i give him the down payment he will start working on it
