Default Greetings, Earthlings

Just now finished all of the new member suggested reading and thought I'd say hey.

Hey.

I like the forum. Been lurking here for a couple of years. I drive for a living on a 1099 deal and I've had to start getting my hands dirty with DIY repair jobs. It's too damn hard to keep a courier car running when a shop wants $450 to replace a radiator then $900 to rebuild brakes then $900 for a timing belt etc. I love Civics, I basically beat the **** out of them every day and they don't care, they start right up. Cool cars, bud.

Looking to hang around and lurk more and maybe throw up some pictures when I start the "super courier" project on my 95 DX. So far I've seen great ideas here and am looking forward to stealing them.

Still so sad they had to go. The '49 had previously been used as a high country search & rescue vehicle, so the dash was full of gauges all *****-nilly like, altimeter here, pitch indicator there, tachometer (!) over by the glove box etc. I'd post pictures, but that was forever ago and those photos are in a box somewhere. Maybe I'll look.

Hard to find the older ones anymore that aren't already restored/modified, the last couple I've seen the owners wanted $15-18K for them. Steep.
