h22a

so how difficult would it be to drop an h22a into a 95 civic dx 2 door? would it be worth it to have in there and would i get respect on the street?

I had that in my 95 cx and dude let me tell you something it was such a pain in the a**. Plus the Hasport kit was 560. Then I had to track down the springs and shock from an accord and not to mention piecing together the cv axles. But yea power wise it was Stout..... I have some pics if you wanna see what it looks like. Oh yea and NO power steering or A/C.

my freind dropped one in his eg hatch, and he loves that car. it is quite expensive to go the hasport way. but the swap would definatly be worth it if you have the time, money, and skill to do it.

It is not that bad of a swap as I have done it in a 91 crx and a 94 coupe for people. The main thing is the prelude shifter and assemble. The H22's use a cable still shifter while the civic uses the rod style. As far as hasport mounts. They are top notch but there are many other brands that offer very good mounts for alot less. Also the axels are cheaper now. See the H22 was one of the hottest swaps for a civic for a lil while because not many had one and it is or was like the big block of honda's. But now the new craze is the K20 so the prices on H22/civic swap parts are alot cheaper.

I've noticed the H22As are fairly cheap. So why does the AC and power steering have to be eliminated?

F20's are way cheaper... and only have like 5 hp less.

Remmy, are you talking about the F20b from a SiR Accord? Which one?... I don't know much about swaps.[8D]

I would not go that far, a obd1 H22A swap can be had for around $1500+ shipping.

And an H22A Type S makes about 220 atc, not 200.
