Having starting issues
My civic 07 is having starting issues. At first it was random delay in starting sometimes after a refuel. I suspected battery and bought a new one, no difference. I then changed kick starter (after a technician tapped it to start) yet it persist. Another tech guy checked fuel pump, serviced the fuel line and changed coolant temp sensor, but it still persist. Presently, this happens more often in the morning; the dashboard just goes off in-between while igniting, struggles then starts on 3-4 attempt. During the day it starts fine.
What could be the problem/solution?
What could be the problem/solution?
this wouldn't be an ECM issue would it? Doubt it, they don't really go that often.. What about 1 of the 2 O2 sensors, 2007 should be obd2 if im not mistaken and would have at least 2 O2 sensors.Have the throttle position sensor, the Mass air flow, or the Mass atmospheric pressure sensor ever been checked? sounds like some sort of electrical or sensor issue. what about plugs and wires? these could cause a rough idle or hard start if bad. At night, spray some Windex on the plug wires with the lights off and see if you see lots of blue arks around the wires when the motor is running. this is a sign your wires are bad. Check if your motor getting enough air, how is the air filter, how is your fuel filter. you need Air, fuel and spark for a motor to run if sparks good, its getting fuel good, then air might be the issue. if all this is good. if a tooth broke on your timing gear and your timing is out, (uber rare case here) this would result in a rough idle and running motor or if really off not run at all. think thats all the knowledge i currently have up in this nogen of mine.
