Hello I'm Rob

I own a 91 Civic Dx Hatch... Its not the prettiest thing in the world, and I kinda feel like I got ripped off on the deal, but desperation, and a low budget got me some wheels at least for now... I paid $400 cash, plus $1100 on a 'good as new' rebuilt 91 prelude that turned out to have a blown 2nd gear.. Soooo here's a pic of my Dx

I'm hoping that sometime in the near future I can trade 'er in for a newer one with a vtec package... would be nice at least...

Thanks for having this place so I can get info as needed and meet other civic fans!

Welcome!

$400 isnt bad (if I read that correctly) if the body is damage and rust free. Swap that motor out!

Nah.. there's a rust spot on the rear lip that has opened up a small hole on the corner (can pic if you want... ) that fender was all smashed in and the dudes did a crappy job hammering it out, then didn't sand or anything just did a rattle can primer job to prevent it from rusting...

as for engine swap I think they said its a D17A something... or something like that, I think it was a 16 or 17 something... and they just rebuilt it after 156k...

Edit: Just looked I guess the stock was a D15B2, so unless previous owner did a swap that's what it is...

As for price: they gave me $1100 on another car they sold me as a trade back after lying to me about a bad transmission(I paid $1450 for that car 9 months ago..) and then they wanted $400 cash on top of it.. so I technically paid $1500 for this car..

Thanks though! :) I don't know if I'll do anything customization wise with her... or just A to B driver her for awhile then use as a trade in.. I don't have the $ for a lot of customizing I've seen (and liked the idea of doing..)

PS: the car they cave me $1100 for was a 91 Prelude 2.0Si with a B20A5 engine..
