Hello from Missouri
Just wanted to say "Hi"
Just became a member due to a problem I was having with my transmission. I figured I would go ahead and join and learn some Honda information along the way! I have a fairly broad mechanical background and know my way around a wrench pretty good but there are always new things to learn.
My main weakness though is Jeeps. I'm a die hard fan and will always own at least one for the rest of my life. Currently I have 3 sitting around, but have owned 9 all together. I am on several Jeep and off-road forums and wheel them off-road also. They aren't pavement queens! But I also love old vehicles as well. We recently rescued a 1953 Chevy pick-up that my family has owned since new and is going to be a project for my son and I to restore. He is actually the owner of it! Lucky 14 year old!
The car for this forum though is a 1997 Civic LX. I bought it 2 years ago for my daughter after she had a rough divorce and needed a vehicle. It had 89,xxx miles on it and was in really good shape. I took it over this spring since she got a new vehicle and have since racked up about 9000 miles on it with a current mileage of 123,xxx. Car has been pretty nice with the MPG running around 32-38 average. Cool weather has cut it down but still better than my 25 MPG out of my Toyota pick-up I also have.
So that's a little about myself. I hope to learn alot on here!
