Default Hello new to this forum and car

I just bought a white 97 Honda Civic EX Coupe with a 5-speed last friday. Has a couple of things done to it, ebay CDI, front strut bar, cat back exhaust, lowered, some kind of aftermarket front bumper, and a short shifter. I love everything about my car except for the fact that the bottom of the front bumper hits every incline on the road and my car bounces alot when i hit a bump in the road. I kinda want to raise the car back to stock height or close to it. What should i expect to have to replace? One more thing, i want to put on a stock front bumper on the car for the winter, do all the 96-2000 bumpers fit on my 97 2 door?

Welcome aboard!

About the suspension question. I would expect to have to replace your shocks and struts to get yourself back up to a comfortable ride height.

Could it be possible that the previous owner cut the springs to lower the height?

thats a definite possibility, and if that IS the case, then you need to fix them asap.

What could also be possible is that he got cheap ebay springs. A decent set of spring wouldnt make your car bounce like an rc car with air filled tires. And if your coil are cut... that could be a very dangerous thing.
