Hey guys.

Hey people whats up? Just thought id make an introduction. Im 18 and im looking into buying a 2000 civic SI. I dont know much about cars and engines at all. I know very little about cars so I figured Id look around and learn about civics before purchasing one. Just wondering what kinda things I gotta know before I purchase the car and stuff. Sorry guys im probly the biggest noob youve ever met but im just trying to learn.

Right off the bat, thats a great car to look into. The 00 Si has a DOHC VTEC B16A2 engine.

go ahead and get it if you can get one at a decent price. they are great cars and retain their value for a while.

RE: Hey guys.

Thank you all for posting. I love this site already and I just joined last night. But so far im finding that SI's are expensive havent found one for under 10 grand yet. And yeah I can only spend prolly 9-10 grand on a car for right now since im moving out on my own soon and moneys going to be tight.

yeah, they're usually in the 11's or 12's with a few miles on them. which brings me back to my original statement, they are excellent at retaining their value.
