I like the B series better, bigger, 2 cams. D looks ugly, it does not have the JDM look. But Pete, i guess for the sake of bucks, go for Ds.

cant go wrong with either. I built the bottom end of a D and plan on boosting big time in spring. I just dont feel like screwing with a swap when I can get 215 whp from the d motor thats already in. It all comes down to money and time and how much you feel like spending on both.

The Problem with the K20 Idea inside a civic is drawn to weight. The Civic front end for OBD1 model cars was never designed to drive that kinda weight nor power. so reinforcements come needed. Though It would be well worth it in the end, I suppose, I personally know someone who dropped a B18c1 into his 95 OBD1 ex. Using this platform as a basis for N/A power, you can run the b18 tranny with a b16 2nd and Final drive gears swapped in. Re-chip the ECU and you have yourself a car that runs to 9200 RPM with redline shift points in VTEC for every shift. Straight line accel would run your into the 11's or 10's. Honda's are very versitile and if you do your research, you'll find a combo that works out nicely for your plans with the car. Remember things like mini-me swaps, ls-Vtec, b-series, the DOHC D-series motor, are all things that can be modified to be exactly what you are looking for.
