Hi i have been searching for a decent civic forum this seems to be the place to come i recently bought a 99 civic si with a type r swap nice but the gentleman that i bought it from drove it into the ground so my plan is to Resurrect this car into a car worthy of the si badge.

so here is the good and the bad of the car in its current shape i have had it for about a five days and finally got it into the shop so i can really look at all of it


the good

B18C type R motor
Skunk 2 stage 3 cam
Skunk 2 adjustable cam gears
edelbrock intake manifold
750cc injectors
mugen valve cover
percison 61mm turbo
god speed intercooler
knock off hks bov
turbonetics waste gate
koyrod radiator with race fan
upgraded axles
skunk 2 short shift
VIS CF hood
act stage 3 clutch
D2 adjustable suspension and swing arms
wahlbro fuel pump
hasport mounts

the bad
needs fenders a door and paint
i think the turbo needs to be rebuilt
the torque mount on the bottom of the tranny needs to be replaced
the cam seal are leaking slightly
the head light are ghetto rigged had an hid kit in it but was ripped out
the exhaust is rubbing on the shift linkage its a 3" turbo back exhaust dont know what kind
the shifter will fall out of gear very easily
the car like to shut off randomly when slowing to a stop
and me being the overly critical person that i am misc disorganized wire and hoses in the engine bay drive me insane
and the interior needs to be buttoned up
and the ignition needs to be replaced for some reason it was wired with a random key ignition and its push start with the cruise control button

Wow, who did this to the car. Push start on cruise control....wtf? Kinda gay lol return everything except the turbo setup, suspension, and carbon fiber to stock. Other then that, it seems legit. But the guy you bought it from was trying too much fast and furious, I like everything else though. Turbonetics, precision, skunk 2, vis....all really great brands.

 

yeah i dont understand what the guy was thinking he had great intentions just fell short with the production of it. i would like to have this car mechanically sound with in a month. i just hope i can find what i need now
