Default Hi! i've gotta question!

Okay i don't own this civic but my g/f does...

a 1995 Honda Civic LX, tinted windows, American racing sniper 15's with yokohama YK420's
Keyless entry, remote start, alarm.

i'd like to know what engine it has in it... on the valve cover it just says '16 valve'
we've replaced the brakes once and now it needs it again, i mean rotors and everything because we half-assed the last time... so what are the best drilled, slotted, w/e rotors money can buy? plus pads? shoes are fine just the front cuz of bad rotors... help!

it has the D15B7 engine.

look to Brembo for rotors, though just slotted, rather than drilled and slotted would be a better choice. the benefits you get from drilling them are not worth the weakness they cause. the slots do more for the braking anyway. and i got carbon-metallic pads from autozone and i love them. they even hold up great on the auto-x courses. if shes not the best about keeping her car clean, and esp the wheels, then the autozone ceramic pads would be a better choice. they dont dust up as much, and are a little quieter. both can come with a lifetime warranty, and run 30-40 bucks.

Well.... she's not going to be auto x-ing or street racing just wants to be sure she'll stop and not have to replace the brakes every 3-4 months... which i told her wouldn't be a problem because, well duh but anyways i'll look into brembo's she's on a tight budge but i'm not!!! [&:]

yeah, even though I like drilled they really are mainly for show. They can crack. Look for the slotted, eBay is prob your best bet

yeah, go with the ceramic pads then. i put those on my wifes car, and with the Dunlops and those pads, it stops really well.
