Heres the deal, I am swapping out vehicles. I NO LONGER own my 1986 SI - it was my first car I had ever owned and I bought it as a salvage in 1986 with 8k miles on it. I drove that sucker to about 150k miles only changing the oil and a bunch of CV joints. I gave it away about 1995.

Now, I am 42 - I drive a lifted Chevy Astro and I am looking for another old Civic for quick jaunts on the freeway.

I am SO out of touch with all the mods etc etc I dont want to get into something that is trouble.

I would ideally like to get back into an 80's SI hatch but am open to other ideas, which is why I am posting to your community.

So to you, the knowledgable - I have about a $3500 cash budget and I have 2 requirements in my area:

Must have AC
Hatch prefered (2 dogs)

Do you have any model advice or "swapped" engines that are better than others? If you have any clean rides for sale feel free to hit me up. I am a good buyer looking for a good seller...
