did you/do you have problems with the back tires rubbing going over bumps? my wife has the exact same car (down to the silver pinstriping of it when it was stock) and i put a set of 15s i had laying around, and it rubs all the damn time, if anything is in the back seat. i have heard that lowering springs help, because it stiffens it up, but im not wanting to make it worse and have to take it back to stock. i even rolled the fenders a little, and it helped, but i think i need to do it more.[&:]

this is a constant problem with the 97-02 Corollas...stock suspension sucks on these cars. and unfortunately, the only way to really stop the rear from rubbing is to either prevent people from sitting in the back or putting coilovers on the car(when passengers are in the car). if it's rubbing during normal driving, get that woman some new struts STAT.

thanks.

i take pride in knowing i'm one of the only people who touches this car. i DESPISE taking the car to a dealer - most of the time it comes back in worse shape than it went in. as it is, i've already had to replace a myriad of stuff that i shouldn't have NEEDED to replace.

new cat(had a hole), new struts(one was bent, so i opted to upgrade all 4 to Tokico blues), new front driver side wheel bearing, new tie rod ends(needed to replace one side, so i opted for both), new oil pan gasket, new drum brake kits, new rotors, new front pads, 2 wheel studs(in the span of 4 months). right now i'm forced to get alignments and balancing done at a shop, but that's because i don't have access to the machines to do that - and when i DO have access to a shop, i'm not permitted to use said machines. i'm not afraid to get messy if it means saving me money in the long run.

this doesn't even take into account the other stuff i've done, as well
