hey guys im new to this forum but iwas hoping i can get some help here. i have a 1999 civic ex coupe, my engine is all stock but it has 187k on it. I got all my interior and exterior mods off of ebay so i was hoping to do this same with my engine mods. I was looking to get OBX racing headers, aem cold air intake (w/ bypass valve), and once i save some more money, get a skunk2 cat-back exhaust. Please give me some advice. thanks

WHAT!? 187k on a 99 civic? omfg. I wouldnt get any thing more than a cold ai intake and an exhaust.

 

Nothin wrong with a header.

 

Thats right lol 187k...i got the car from a guy that drove from Cleveland back to Cortland (ohio they are like a little over an hour apart) back and forth to work ever since the car was brand new. Trust me, it runs like it has 87k instead of 187.

 

if it runs good i would do what u said, intake, header, exhaust

 

I would throw the engine out and get a swap.

 

the header is a great idea, but steer clear of OBX headers.[:'(]

 

look for a DC on eBay

 

It's amazing what people would do as long as it's not spendin their own money.......LOL
(I don't think everyone can afford to throw a new engine in their car)
