Yesterday i picked up my "new" 1999 Civic EX (5-speed of course) its bone stock with 59000 miles on it, ive already put 200 miles on it and i loved everyone of them, i eventually plan on putting on a CIA and Exaust system but right now im broke, are there and "Free" mods i can do like modifying the stock air box, cutting a wire or two something to make it louder/faster that will entertain me till i can buy real parts ? i was thinking about gutting the cat but im not a fan of being pulled over for noise violations any ideas ???

since i now own a civic ill probably be on here a lot looking foward to meeting all of you.

welcome! as far as free mods there are a few. you can get rid of the airbox resonator too free up a lil air flow, you can also play with ign timing a little, anytype of weight reduction will sure help also.

 

i can not stress this enough.....dont do anything unless ur goin to do it right.......save ur money THEN work on some engine modifications. If u do things rite u only have to do em once.

You should make your owned custom cai. I help my bro with his cai on a 92 camry xlev6 and it work out perfectly. All you gotta do is buy a pipe cut it and lead it to a cool place.

you could go get a cheap short ram from Advance Auto or Autozone they are like around $50 or so.
