yeah, come to Cali for awhile. now theyll just tow your car. it sucks, but it was an excuse to upgrade from the b16.

My lil bro just recently had to sell his civic hatch he had i think a 89 hatch with a b16 turbo'd out and all the good stuff.But i think what he said was it was inspection time and he couldnt get it past the smog check or something plus they were trippin out about his engine not being stock or something. Is that how it is out in cali cus i was thinking bout going back but i dont wanna sell my car for reasons like that.

 

you can get it to pass as ong as the engine is the same year or newer than the car. and you'd better have the receipts for the motor, cause if you get pulled over and cant prove its legit, they can confiscate it. i keep my receipt in my car just in case. it might take som ework, but its possible to get it to pass.

 

yeah im sure the engine was newer.He had lots done engine swap for one then he turbo'd it changed computer all that stuff and he had his receipts he said he took it through inspection 2 times something was wrong with his restrictions or something the guy told him its because that wasnt the right engine or some stuff.It was a complete showcar too ( DAMN STATE INSPECT)
