Hello from L.A.
Hey everyone - long time listener, first time caller.
My Civic history:
Owned a 1992 or 3 Civic hatchback - you know, the little "roller skate" ones ... a RED one. It was a manual, and was an all around fantastic little car. I could hold an amazing amount of sh*t for such a small car, and it handled really well for a small entry level car.
Interesting story - once I got onto a local freeway and some jerk wouldn't let me merge, so I hit the gas and evidently redlined the engine (my base model didn't have tach), but it hit the rev governor and went into some "limp home" mode ... I had to clutch it, kill the engine, and restart all while rolling dead in the water. Good times.
I bought it used with 109,000 miles on it and I drove it until it had 240,000 miles and finally one of the transmission bearings seized.
Now, I have an '04 LX.
