hey whats up recently bought a 1998 honda civic 5 speed do not know a whole lot about them just needed the mpgs for work picked it up 1000 dollars 156xxx on the clock it has short ram intake, 8.5 msd super conducter wires and short throw shifter full 2.25 exhaust with test pipes and header
after 3 mins of searching on here i now know that i have a d16Z6 v-tech

i am a jeep guy so forgive my lack of knowledge

 

Must have been swapped then. z6 motors only came in 92-95 EX and SI's. The "correct" motor for the 96-00 EX's are d16y8. And it is VTEC. No h. Welcome to the forum

 

thanks still learning the layout of the site is there an app for the iphone and yea it was swapped i read a post on where to find the stamp on the block how can i correctly wire my VTEC selinoid thanks in advance

 

No app that I know of. Mobile site works fine for me when needed.
