Hey guys hows it going!? Im from CANADA, VANCOUVER BC. I just bought a new 08 Si coupe thebeautiful red color,replacing my olddddddd 97 DX coupe that just got towed to the junk yard . I'm loving my new civic and gonna be putting on some 20" black rims with a polished lip, the only problem is im scared that it might rub, my cousin had 20's on his 97 si and it rubbed whenever he made left or right turns, so if anyone has had 20's or has 20's on their civic currently, pleaseeee help me with deciding what tires to go with as i know i will have to go extreme loww prooo THANKS GUYS(and girls).[sm=groupwave.gif]

... why so big? Biggest i'd go is 18"

 

I'm going more for the looks, so i just thought the 20's would stand out more, up here you don't see alot of civic's on 20's....so i just thought id be a bit different then everyone that has 18's on their civics

 

u don't see 20"s on civics because they rub. I believe you have to roll your fenders

 

yah, thats the same problem my cousin had, it rubbed whenever he turned. But im just thinkin on the newer civics aren't the fenders a bit higher and wider?. I measured the stock wheel and tire together it came to 20" and it had alot of room between the fender and the tire. So if i go with a low enough tire, do you think it might work?

 

just go with 17' or 18' at the most

haha nice ride man, i love the si! yeah i have 17's and i have an 02, and they dont rub, but i think 18's will fit on 08 civs with no rubbing possibly, but i dunno. cant wait for pics!

 

18s will fit. the HFP 18 inch rims fit on the civics...so any other 18 inch rim will fit. i would bet 19s will fit also. might scrub somewhat though. no way i would put 20s on it though

 

Hey here are some pics of my car i just washed it and cleaned it a bit..these are the rims im planning to put on they are 20's, the guys at the tire shop told me it would be ok with the right tires and it wont rub soo ill give them a try.
