New 2015 Civic LX the seats were better than the Jetta
The VW Jetta engine has a turbo and a timing belt, two reasons why the Civic with a timing chain and no turbo is a better buy since I already had a lot of practice changing Subaru timing belts. Drove Subarus since 1975 in states where 4-wheel drive over snow was an advantage. Circa 1978 with 14 inches of snow in New Jersey it was my Subaru and the snow plow moving at 45mph, while 55mph was rather dangerous. The plant was closed and drove back over fresh snow.
I buy new cars every 10 years and used to collect up to three, now limited to two the big SUB and the other. The Civic, the other, on this 13th year with front wheel drive is good enough for the central east coast of Florida. Didn't figure on buying the Civic, I just low balled an offer raised it a bit and the dealer agreed on the final price. That Nissan, Mazda, Hyundai, or Chevy will have to wait.
When did the coolant temp gauge go away 2005? 2007? Is the low tire pressure dash indicator light for 1 of the 4 wheels really helpful? No
