new ek engine swap

just got my ek and ready to drop the b18c1(gsr) in it but do not know where and how much to pay. i have a 97 ek hatch and need a engine fast! is 4300 too much for engine and instalation)complete engine with gsr tranny but no axels, found axels for 450 plus instalation, that sounds like too much money to pay and im poor!

The GSR is prolly one of the best motors you can drop into your ride. However, if you are on a budget go with a D series engine. They aren't nearly as expensive as the B series but they don't make as much power and the potential of a B series is way better. I think the D16Y8 is a good option. I'm not sure, but that should be the 1.6L SOHC VTEC motor.

we can give you ruff prices but the best thing you can do it go to your local perfomance shops and talk to them about what they can get you and there price of installation and what the proceses is going to be and how long ect...ect..ect, they will probably be able to get it cheaper also (depends, i no some shops do)

sounds pretty high to me. you can do better if you shop around a bit.
