Default New to Forum and the Civic

Hello everyone -

I'm new to this forum. I moved from a snowy area to a place without snow and traded in my AWD Element (which was a wonderful vehicle) for a 2009 Civic.

I always wanted a dark blue car, so that's what I chose!

I am bummed I've already been rear ended...never have had that happen before and of course it happened on my new car. Do people just not notice smaller cars on the road.

Anyway, I better like this car as I'll likely have it a long time. Heh

welcome and congrats on the new civic, what trim level is it? any damage on the bumper, or just some paint traded?

I'm actually picking her up from the body shop later today! The bumper did have damage - cracked taillight, the 'energy absorber' had to be replaced, and of course the bumper needed painted.

It's an EX and the dark blue color, which I really like! I've never had a moonroof and I didn't realize how much I liked it until I've been stuck in a rental car for a week.

I also notice how it handles so differently than other cars - I've had mid-size GM rental cars and they feel completely different than a Civic. Very heavy to turn, if that makes sense.

I'll try to snap a couple photos soon as she'll be all fixed.
