hi,I've posted many problems all coming from my ignition sysytem in my car(98 civic ex auto tranny).It has light mods.The usual intake header ect.I started(no pun intended)to have starting problems.What are some commen ignition problems or parts that seem to go or act up with civics.I really do need big help woth this.Here goes--turn key--usual noise when trying to start.Nothing.Then turn key to off- slight grinding noise like when you turn key and car is allready runnig.Wait alittle.Tunr again---wants to crank over but reeeeaaallll slow too get going.Only does this when it sits for 5 or more hours when its cold to freezing out.The batter is new-yellow top.I really think the starters going and as alot of us folks konw we all don't hsve the money to mess around with.I would like to aleast get some idea as to whats goin on.HELP HELP HELP HELP.

 

Get a new starter buddy. The description you are giving definetly sounds like you got a dieing one on your hands. If you dont have the wad to throw at it go by a junk yard.... I believe the 1996-1998 is almost the exact same. Then again im not exactly sure... one of the pros might have to join in on this topic.

 

i know with the b-series, any B starter will work, so i assume its the same with the Ds. id stick with 92-00, just in case.
