Default New guy!

Hi!
My name is Jacob, I have a '04 mustang and have recently bought a '95 civic with no motor. I really want to put a B series motor in it but I'm not sure which one. Hopefully someone on this site can help me. I'm wanting to turbo whatever I put in it. So... which would be best for a turbo, and do the auto and manuel transmissions have a different set of gears? I also need to decide which of those I want. Thank you!

Welcome to the site!

How much money do you have? For a swap that you'll boost on, I would go with either a b18b (LS motor, cheaper), or a B18c1 (GSR motor, more power out of the box, but more expensive).

Check out our stickies at the top of the Nitrous, Super Chargers, & Turbos section for a list of what you would want/need for a turbo build.

Regarding transmissions, you want manual. Auto's suck and won't last long under boost IMO.

I figured the auto's wouldn't last. And I read all that, thanks for the links! I plan on buying a motor then after installation, selling the mustang so I have more money for the honda.

Thanks for the advice, I'll keep researching those motors.

Btw, do you know where i could find one of those motors for the cheapest price? I've checked out tiger jdm and ebay but I'm not sure who is the most reliable and who has the best prices.
